Tell me about the YMCA Endowment.” In the Spring of 1982, Isaac P. Zimmerly, Judge Carl A. Lund, Paxson Link, U. Gordon “Bud” Colson and Roger Fruin pooled their collection talents to start a YMCA Endowment Fund. This Endowment Fund is set up to secure the future of the YMCA and the principle cannot be invaded for any reason. In 1982, $55,000 was collected from friends and associates of these five pioneering gentlemen and the YMCA Endowment provided $2, 150 for YMCA programming and operations. The Endowment Fund has grown each year and in 2006 $21, 600 was distributed to the YMCA. Had it not been for the foresight of Mr. Zimmerly, Judge Lund, Mr. Fruin, Mr. Link and Mr. Colson, many YMCA programs and services would not have been provided. To date the YMCA Endowment has enriched Paris by well over $500,000.
